This wiki explains the AlliedOffsets forecasting model: a tool developed to help understand how supply, demand, and pricing for VCM and CDR credits may evolve under different scenarios.
The AlliedOffsets forecasting model attempts to project three key components of the market:
This wiki presents the reasoning and methodology for our model, presents the assumptions underlying the model, builds out several scenarios, and presents high level findings from the scenarios.
This is a live document that will be updated as we add more complexity, model out more sectors and sector-geography pairings, and update our assumptions.

We have the world’s largest database of carbon offsetting projects: over 30,000 projects across 25 registries, spanning the globe. We have relationships with brokers, buyers, and project developers, allowing us to have a deep understanding of the dynamics of setting up carbon projects. Our underlying data on projects allows us to model these dynamics across the entire market.
